A shoe with a good sole but its upper generates discomfort and chafing on the foot (I don't know if it is a manufacturing defect of my unit or in general)
I love Altra’s. I have the lone peak hiking boots but was looking for more support and a new pair so branched out to these. Same with other reviews, the ankle part is so uncomfortable, and has left bruises on the back. I generally ruck a minimum of 4 miles with 40lbs, with no issues with any of my other Altra shoes. After 1.5 miles I already had two blisters with these. I’m not giving up. I hope they just need to be broken in. But I’ve never had to break in any other Altra’s I’ve had. Hopefully this changes but I urge caution if you are blister prone and have sensitive skin.
