"The thing I liked most about the Ride 6 was the addition of PowerGrid," said Greg, one of Holabird’s in-house Product Experts. "PowerGrid gave me a very soft landing, but was far more resilient during the toe-off phase than other neutral shoes that I had tried last year. The Ride 7 feels no different. In fact, the lighter profile of the shoe makes it feel more responsiveness."
Other key updates include:
- Increased surface area for better ground contact and smoother transitions
- Removal of the midfoot plastic shank from the outsole, replaced with blown rubber
- Integration of a new, vertical flex groove in the forefoot of the outsole
- Enhanced horizontal flex grooves
- Lighter, more breathable mesh
- More heat-fused overlays
