double checked accuracy at local pro shop. 25lbs off at the shop. 25lbs off on my stringer as well. this is no where close to reading tension correctly. I bought 2 of these and neither of them were anywhere close to being accurate, don't buy it. a waste of money and time
Good for use immediately after restringing then thereafter to monitor deterioration of string tension
This tension tester seems to be pretty accurate. I check the tension immediately following stringing and it's been spot on.
I use it as intened to get a general idea of the tension of the string-bed of strung racquets. It's definitely not a scientific instrument, but is more accurate than the old black type I had.
